jbeck43
I have tried CCleaner one time and liked it---except that it deleted a paid-for downloaded program (Bookworm Deluxe) and I had to re-download that program. I was told that I only have a couple of these "re-downloads" available and then I will be charged for doing so. My question is-----how can I run CCleaner and not have it delete my Bookworm Deluxe program? Thank You.
Moderators Andavari Posted March 7, 2006 Moderators Share Posted March 7, 2006 I don't know why CCleaner would mess up your program. Since you've paid for a licensed version of Bookworm Deluxe I'd think you are at least intitled the right to make a personal backup copy of the downloaded install version onto a CD-R. Make a backup of purchased downloaded software you've spent your money on!
Eldmannen
Yes, I think that you definitly should do a personal backup of the software that you have purchased. A personal backup would fall into fair-use and you are entitled todo that. I dont know why it removed Bookworm Deluxe since since there are no entries about that in the .ini files that comes with CCleaner. Maybe you stored it in a TEMP folder? Hint, there are often free alternatives to software that cost money.
