thorfinn
When I want to make Ccleaner work, - I'm asked to close my "Google" to make it function? And first when I have done/allowed this, I may continue my cleaning? Any reason for this? Thorfinn
Moderators Nergal Posted October 3, 2014 Moderators Share Posted October 3, 2014 Because google locks the files (history, cookies and cache) while running ccleaner cannot clean them at the same time chrome (and firefox, opera) is running. You can tell ccleaner not to ask, but it will skip chrome anytime it cleans that chrome is open ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
