External drives

Just a short post to report that on Win 8 64bit I had a small external drive attached.

On the drive were some docs backups in a folder, Windows Image files in a Windows made and named folder, and AX64 Time Machine images.

I've no idea why, but CCleaner wiped the Windows Images and the docs backups. It left the AX64 files alone.

My bad really as it wasn't until I pressed the 'clean' button that I saw ccleaner was also cleaning the external drive (F) as well as my C drive. I had no 'includes' or special settings and no Winapp2.ini.

Hi Hazelnut,

keeping the same settings, can you please verify if you can reproduce this? I mean, add the files back into the external drive and run cleaner again.

Let me know

Thanks

Hi MrT.

As my Win images are gone I don't really want to create them all again :)

As for my 'docs backups' they consisted of all sorts of odds and ends added at different times, mostly copied and pasted to the drive.

I would not have mentioned it if it hadn't have happened believe me.

If it happens again you'll be the first to know :)
