scorpio99
Hello, I'd like to request a new feature: autoclean every x seconds. Also, we cannot add easily hidden files/folders with the "include" button. (cannot browse hidden folders). e.g. : C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Software\ Thanks for listening. Best, S. Moderators Nergal Posted June 12, 2013 Moderators Share Posted June 12, 2013 I'd like to request a new feature: autoclean every x seconds. monitoring such as this is available in the pro version Also, we cannot add easily hidden files/folders with the "include" button. un-hide non-system files/folders in explorer for administrators, ccleaner cannot add what you can not see, so says windows' explorer. Plus it's a better anti-malware strategy IMHO to have them visible. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. scorpio99
Oh? I was not aware of that... Thanks for your quick reply. Such a shame this is the only "basic" feature I'm missing (autoclean) and I've registered here just for asking for it so I won't upgrade just for that and also I won't pay for it if the software is not able to browse/add hidden folders/files... There are softwares who are able to browse those hidden system files without the user/admin need to unhide them but maybe they don't rely on the internal Windows browse engine... scorpio99
Edit: I've just created a new advanced "Windows Scheduler" task to run ccleaner every x minutes.
Moderators Andavari Posted June 12, 2013 Moderators Share Posted June 12, 2013 Edit: I've just created a new advanced "Windows Scheduler" task to run ccleaner every x minutes. You're going to have to remember you made that task! Reason being it may cause you grief one day, for instance during some Microsoft Updates which take too long to install in my opinion such as .NET Framework updates, other installs that store required data in the Temp folder to only continue installing after a reboot, etc.
