clefmeister Posted February 14, 2012 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Running the latest version of CCleaner for Mac, 1.01.106, I ran an Analyze to see what CCleaner would erase. I've got a listing of all of my installed apps, with the amount of space and number of files that would be deleted if I clicked "Clean." I'm wondering, what precisely might these files be? the5count Posted February 18, 2012 Share Posted February 18, 2012 I have a similar question- when deleting Apps in Mac OS X 10.6.8, does ccleaner act like an app cleaner and delete ALL of the App, not just the part in the Applications folder? Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Nope, no such luck in the Mac version. The results are just a text output, listing the number of files that will be deleted within each app and the hard drive space that will be recovered. @the5count ccleaner mac cleans the temp files like the pc version. not the whole app (which honestly would be quite a silly product wouldn't it) I think @the5count might be referring to the Uninstaller under Tools. That option provides the ability to remove an entire application from your Mac, not just clean temp files. jbcarey Posted March 29, 2012 Share Posted March 29, 2012 Recent start-up after running ccleaner on my mac I was unable to open Itunes, I coud still see itunes in my applications folder but was unable to launch it as I keep all of my data (music and movies on a portable usb drive I did not lose anything when I redownloaded itunes but is there a filter to prevent this from happening?
