redhawk Posted April 25, 2011 Share Posted April 25, 2011 You can defrag any file system if it has a drive letter however there's no point defragging an external drive. Optimised or badly fragmented it makes no difference, the top speed of an external drive is limited by the top speed of the USB interface. Richard S.
