Moderators hazelnut Posted January 18, 2011 Moderators Share Posted January 18, 2011 I always find it strange to think that people give this info to facebook in the first place but there you go http://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2011/01/16/rogue-facebook-apps-access-your-home-address-mobile-phone-number/ Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
Moderators hazelnut Posted January 18, 2011 Author Moderators Share Posted January 18, 2011 Well that was quick, the feature has been suspended after only 3 days, too many complaints. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/01/18/facebook_suspends_data_sharing_feature/ Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
Moderators DennisD Posted January 18, 2011 Moderators Share Posted January 18, 2011 Still a good wake up call for anyone daft enough to have their phone number and/or address anywhere on that site. Do they write them on walls I wonder?
Winapp2.ini
I couldn't resist! As for the mobile numbers on the site.... they're on there because they have to be when you link up your phone (smart or otherwise) or else it doesn't work. I have no knowledge of an address space, and I can't fathom a reason anyone would put theirs in! linked from good ol' xkcd winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
