Chris Mitchell
On 32-bit Win XP SP3, Speccy 1.07.205 shows many more peripherals than I have, mostly as a result (I guess) of reading the way that Windows holds the info. For example, here's the mouse and keyboard entries: Peripherals Logitech PS/2 Keyboard Device Kind Keyboard Device Name Logitech PS/2 Keyboard Location plugged into keyboard port Driver Date 5-10-2006 Version 3.0.0.0 File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\i8042prt.sys File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\kbdclass.sys File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\L8042Kbd.sys HID Keyboard Device Device Kind Keyboard Device Name HID Keyboard Device Vendor Logitech Location Location 0 Driver Date 7-1-2001 Version 5.1.2600.5512 File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\kbdhid.sys File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\kbdclass.sys Logitech-compatible Mouse PS/2 Device Kind Mouse Device Name Logitech-compatible Mouse PS/2 Location plugged into PS/2 mouse port Driver Date 5-10-2006 Version 3.0.0.0 File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\i8042prt.sys File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\mouclass.sys File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\L8042mou.Sys File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\LMouKE.Sys File C:\WINXP\KHALMNPR.Exe Logitech HID-compliant Optical Wheel Mouse Device Kind Mouse Device Name Logitech HID-compliant Optical Wheel Mouse Vendor Logitech Location Location 0 Driver Date 5-10-2006 Version 3.0.0.0 File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\mouhid.sys File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\mouclass.sys File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\LHidKE.Sys File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\LMouKE.Sys File C:\WINXP\KHALMNPR.Exe HID-compliant mouse Device Kind Mouse Device Name HID-compliant mouse Vendor Logitech Location Location 0 Driver Date 7-1-2001 Version 5.1.2600.0 File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\mouclass.sys File C:\WINXP\system32\DRIVERS\mouhid.sys Both of these are USB devices, there's nothing plugged into the PS/2 ports, so I'm puzzled as to why these should show up... Any thoughts as to whether this will be fixed or fixable?
