Is CCleaner guilty of this?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just installed Win 7 64-bit this morning..

I started to browse in IE, and google saved my searches in the bar.. so I could see what I seeked before..

Since I installed CClenaer, this has stopped..

Google cookies are saved and all settings in IE8 are not to clean anything but cookies,

The searches I made before CClenaer are still there, but those tried after.. are not saved.

Maybe some registry settings have been deleted by CC?

Can you help with having Google save my "searches" again?

Google search settings are "fine" too, they are set to only show mines

Regards

It sems issue is not CClenaer...

So no CCleaner fault this time

If you are wanting to save the IE drop down history, try unchecking CCleaner Autocomplete as well as the Recently Typed URL's. Autocomplete is the saved form information, while Recently Typed URL's are the visited locations on the web. If you are wanting to preserve those on your web browser, try unticking the 2 listed above.

Thanks!

Win7 has IE 8, so it can't be IE7.

The search bar history is not part of the cookies, but rather of the "Autocomplete Form History". Try unchecking that.
