Kitten3 Posted January 5, 2010 Share Posted January 5, 2010 HELP! I keep getting an error message and the reason is 'The device is not ready'. I'm trying to recover files from a SimpleTech external drive. The indicator lights show the device is on & being accessed. The thumbnails show the files are in excellent condition. Icedrake Posted January 5, 2010 Share Posted January 5, 2010 Are you sure Hazel? I read the system requirments, and it said Windows 98 not supported only after this version: 1.31.437. So I'm guessing that the 1.31.437 version and all other previous versions would work on Windows 98?
