Password protected access to ccleaner

Hi,

ccleaner is great app but i'd like to install it on computers in school and I don't want anybody else to run especially students. It would be great if ccleaner had option to set password, so it could be run only if correct password is entered.

But CCleaner wont delete the wrong keys. It never did. It's the safest regcleaner on the planet.

And today's award for bravery goes to ... ;)

johhnyq there are various ways you coud hide it, or maybe change permissions on the exe ... depending on various factors like the OS and how clever the students are! Though if they are capable of doing damage with ccleaner I would have thought that would have be the least of your worries - what problems do you envisage by them having ccleaner access?

What's the point in installing CCleaner on school computers ?

A computer is a computer regardles. Does the school bus still need a mechanic to maintain it self?

I think it's a very sinsible idea.

No fate but what we make

If you aren't the IT person (johnny) then get them to set that up

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
