DeeSeMiX
Hello, I've installed a new version of CCleaner v2.23.999 on Windows XP Pro SP3 and ran a cleaning process for "System". I've noticed that regardless if the "Start Menu Shortcuts" box is checked or not it will still clean the start menu shortcuts. P.S. Is there any way to omit the cleaning of "Start Menu Shortcuts"? Moderators Andavari Posted September 28, 2009 Moderators Share Posted September 28, 2009 Please read my post again. Duh yeah, it was late at night when I answered, and I did read your post. Also notice in the screenshot Desktop Shortcuts, if you're having issues with those as well unticking that may also help.

Moderators hazelnut Posted September 28, 2009 Moderators Share Posted September 28, 2009 Is it a clean install or an ''over the top of previous version'' install?
