cybermorse
Running CCleaner (Latest Version) on a XP SP2 system just prior to evening shut-down. Next morning, it takes at least two attempts at boot-up to get a good one. First boot-up will result in freeze when attempt made to launch any program. Ctl-Alt-Delete does not help. Skipping use of CCleaner prior to shut-down eliminates problem.
cybermorse
My mistake! CCleaner NOT the bad guy here. Did not run CCleaner last night, and computer failed to boot properly this morning. Ergo, something else is causing the problem.

Moderators Andavari Posted July 11, 2009 Moderators Share Posted July 11, 2009 Perhaps test your installed memory with freeware like MemTest86+, and/or Microsoft Windows Memory Diagnostic.
