Radeksgrl
The Defraggler works great for my hard and external drive. However, once the defrag is completed the computer is completely locked up. I can't open another program or restart, I have to do a hard restart by holding the power button down. Any idea why this is happening? Everything about my computer is the same, except for the addition of Defraggler.
Shawbee
I am having the same issue on Windows XP SP3 - I can analyze drives, but when I defrag the whole OS locks up in a strange way. It doesnt "Freeze" but all programs become unresponsive, including explorer.exe. I can use Alt-Tab to switch programs but it doesnt help much, seems to be the only thing you can do aside a hard reset (power button). Version: 1.11.148 Quick note: my system locks up straight away instead of at the end of the defrag, mentioned above. I am only scanning a local drive. Guest MrRon
Can you confirm if this issue is only present in 1.11? MrRon
Radeksgrl
In the Vista even viewer, under applications, there were tons of errors with the source = CAPI2, Event ID 11. There were also some errors with the source = search, Event ID 3013. I tried to open up systems events, but it gave an error and said the "event viewer cannot open the event log. The data is invalid (13)." I have no idea what any of this means, but I hope it is helpful!

Shawbee
I am going to reinstall v 1.10 to check if it is definately defraggler/this version. Will post results shortly I run a scheduled Defrag every day at 10am (considering my pc just locked up a few minutes ago GMT 0) I can confirm it has only been an issue since build 1.11.48. The bug occurs on scheduled defrags and user started defrags. Checked the event log, USUALLY it doesnt give anything - but one time, explorer.exe crashed - giving the following: Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Hang Event Category: (101) Event ID: 1002 Date: 24/06/2009 Time: 14:13:52 User: N/A Computer: *BLANKED* Description: Hanging application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.5512, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.
