han194
Hi, I can't open my C: & D: drive by double clicking. A message 'cannot find "C:\spools.dll.vbs" . appears whenever i double click it. Can anyone solve this?
Moderators Nergal Posted March 18, 2009 Moderators Share Posted March 18, 2009 You have an infection and a moderator will come by and refer you to the Malware section of Piriform But to begin with go here http://www.sophos.com/security/analyses/vi.../vbssolowa.html and here http://raylin.wordpress.com/2009/02/12/spo...bs-cleaner-v11/ (preferably on a clean computer) ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators Augeas Posted March 18, 2009 Moderators Share Posted March 18, 2009 I don't have this file, and an initial scan on Google indicates that this is a virus. I would scan your system immediately. I don't know why CC is asking for it, but it doesn't sound healthy. I would, after you've done the scan, uninstall CC and then download from a secure site and reinstall.
