Email address should be removed. I am ready to purchase another cleaner. this one is not doing to the job. CCleaner is Freeware, if you paid for it please contact a Moderator by private message. I download CCleaner from here. I have tried several suggestions and still unable to uninstall adobe reader 7.0. CCleaners Uninstall tool loads fast and runs the uninstaller that comes with the program. If Adobes uninstaller is broken, you can try the Freeware Revo Uninstaller here. Please read CCleaners guide here. Let us know if you need more help. Online Documentation...CCleaner
Moderators hazelnut Posted September 7, 2008 Moderators Share Posted September 7, 2008 Adobe reader has pages of people in google asking for help with uninstalling it, it is not really any program's fault such as CCleaner that it cannot be installed. It is Adobe at fault here. Try Windows Installer clean up, read instructions. Helps a lot of people with this problem. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 Also look here http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bc33d7e and here http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewConten...0&sliceId=2 I would suggest perhaps using Foxit reader when you finally manage to get Adobe uninstalled http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
Jamin4u
I had no idea that Adobe had such problems uninstalling. After reading hazelnuts post I did a search on error message 1714 Adobe. I was surprised of how many results there were. I'm going to switch to Foxit Reader, thats if I can get Adobe uninstalled. Moderators Andavari Posted September 7, 2008 Moderators Share Posted September 7, 2008 I'm going to switch to Foxit Reader, thats if I can get Adobe uninstalled. I wouldn't be too surprised if some of those uninstall issues are the direct result of improper registry cleaning with aggressive registry cleaners. If you have uninstall issues and if you still have the Adobe setup available a repair or over-install would fix the uninstaller - old versions can be downloaded at: http://www.filehippo.com/download_adobe_reader/ That's another reason people should really track their installations with either Total Uninstall 2.35 (Last Freeware Version) or ZSoft Uninstaller.
