MadHatt
When I first downloaded CCleaner, I donated $20. as suggested. When I run CCleaner, it keeps saying there is an update ready (I have ver 2.09.600). When I tried to update to 2.10 it brought me to the donation screen. Now again when I ran the program, it said there was an upgrade 2.11. When I clicked the link, it brought me to the donation place again. Am I supposed to be donating $20, each time there is an upgrade? I wasn't able to find any info on this here. Thanks in advance for help.

Moderators Nergal Posted September 2, 2008 Moderators Share Posted September 2, 2008 Also, a donate is just that a donate it is not paying for the application, the application is free. That said that is awesome that you donated, very few people do that for freeware. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
