Moderators DennisD Posted August 25, 2008 Moderators Share Posted August 25, 2008 Correct me if I'm wrong Tom, but after scanning are the vast majority of files thumbs.db. Last time I scanned I had 452 files at 58mb and 99% were thumbs.db. If you delete them, you'll find windows explorer loads a lot slower without these files, and unless you select "don't cache thumbnails" in Tools\Folder Options\View, then windows will eventually recreate most of them.
