VLM
Hi, I'm running CCleaner for the first time, I appreciate the depth, breadth, and ease of use! Still, there are some things I don't know, and I'd like not to send my system to kingdom come, as it were. So 1. When I scan for issues under Registry Integrity : Installer, I get a bunch of entries that all say "Uninstaller Reference Issue". These entries are: C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB873339$\hypertrm.dll 0.33MB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB873339$\spuninst\spuninst.exe 0.16MB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB873339$\spuninst\spuninst.inf 3.54KB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB873339$\spuninst\spuninst.txt 91 bytes C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB885835$\lsasrv.dll 0.69MB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB885835$\mrxsmb.sys 0.43MB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB885835$\rdbss.sys 0.17MB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB885835$\spuninst\spuninst.exe 0.16MB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB885835$\spuninst\spuninst.inf 4.61KB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB885835$\spuninst\spuninst.txt 323 bytes C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB885836$\mswrd6.wpc 0.18MB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB885836$\spuninst\spuninst.exe 0.16MB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB885836$\spuninst\spuninst.inf 3.71KB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB885836$\spuninst\spuninst.txt 107 bytes C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB886185$\ipnat.sys 0.13MB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB886185$\spuninst\spuninst.exe 0.16MB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB886185$\spuninst\spuninst.inf 3.63KB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB886185$\spuninst\spuninst.txt 93 bytes C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB887472$\msmsgs.exe 1.59MB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB887472$\spuninst\spuninst.exe 0.16MB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB887472$\spuninst\spuninst.inf 3.70KB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB887472$\spuninst\spuninst.txt 94 bytes C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB888302$\spuninst\spuninst.exe 0.16MB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB888302$\spuninst\spuninst.inf 3.65KB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB888302$\spuninst\spuninst.txt 87 bytes C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB888302$\srvsvc.dll 94.50KB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB890046$\agentdpv.dll 56.00KB C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB890046$\kb890046.cat 11.57KB I see that these are all uninstaller-related. Do I need these for anything? And what does "Uninstaller Reference Issue" mean? Are these simply affiliated with applications that have already been uninstalled? Thanks! CeeCee
Yes, those are safe to delete. They are left over after deleted $NtUninstall* folders from Windows directory. Path Copy TeraCopy Unlocker

Start CCleaner and make sure that Options > Advanced option Show prompt to backup Registry Issues is always checked.THIS IS IMPORTANT IF YOU PLAN TO DO REGISTRY CHANGES. This way you can come back from "kingdom come" if your Registry does not like what has happened to it. It is also a good idea to back up your Registry with ERUNT everyday. Good luck, davey
