xxxxsh4d0wxxxx
Well, I have the latest version of Firefox. However, when someone sends me a link of any kind (like over AIM), when I click on it, Firefox refuses to open. Also, when I click the "Check for updates.." button on CCleaner Firefox won't open either. It seems if I'm not clicking a link on a site, that Firefox will not open. It used to work, but one day it just stopped. Any thoughts?
Icedrake
Reinstalling it maybe? I don't really know because I haven't had a problem with FF 3 Beta 5 yet...
TonyKlein
FireFox needs to be registered as your default browser. Have a look here for some pointers: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Setting_Your_Default_Browser Tony CLSID List - A Collection of Autostart Locations
xxxxsh4d0wxxxx
I know it's already set as the default brower, so I guess I'll try and reinstall it. Thanks for the help guys.
Moderators rridgely Posted April 24, 2008 Moderators Share Posted April 24, 2008 Dont bother reinstalling. Firefox often will become corrupted sometimes and not be properly registered as your default browser. Easiest way to fix it is make IE your default browser. Then make firefox your default again and it should work.

Coronagold
That's interesting. I never thought of something like that before. Typically I set no apps as 'default' but still all are accessable (if I have that choice) and let things be. Are there certain Services that won't work unless an app is set as default?
