CCleaner starts and instantly terminates

Hi,

I've been using several previous versions of CCleaner with no problem, but starting a few days ago when I start CCleaner I get the CCleaner window for about a second, and then it disappears, the application terminates. I didn't install a new version nor change any settings. A clean reinstall after the appearance of the problem didn't help either.

Any suggestions? Has anyone encountered such a problem?

Hi Showstopper,

Yes, some others have had this problem.

Unfortunately,it sometimes is caused by some malware that has penetrated your defenses.

Please let us know the results.Also provide the following info if it persists.

 

The following info will help give others maybe come up with a solution.

These answers help to evaluate the problem.Just fill in the answers next to the questions?

Provide a list of your CCleaner.ini file.

CCleaner version ?

OS,edition ,and version ?

Browsers and ver.?

Security software and ver?

Other data you think might be relevant?

What did you do and then what happened?

Hey Bud,

Where are you?What happened?

Been waiting to hear back from you.

I had one other thought about your problem.Had to go back and dig up your post again.

Anyhow,UNTICK the Automatically check for updates to CCleaner option at Options > Settings.

Sometimes this causes problems if there are Internet connect problems,browser bugs etc.

Let us know what is happening.
