adam333
So I was selecting items to be uninstalled (or so I thought) and I selected "Delete Entry" instead of highlighting the items and selecting "Run Uninstaller". Now, I can't find the items I deleted so that I can uninstall them. How do I get the entries back that I deleted? I love the software but this was clearly a labeling issue for me. Please help, and thanks!!
Moderators hazelnut Posted March 9, 2008 Moderators Share Posted March 9, 2008 Perhaps they are in add/remove programs list in the control panel. Or try c/program files, open the software file you want to uninstall and look for uninstaller.exe If still no joy, have you a sysytem restore point from just before you did this? adam333
Thanks--they're gone from the Control Panel list too. I guess I have to remove them program, by program.
Humpty
Wonder if they could be hidden from the windows add/remove list. Try the tip below. Windows Explorer>Tools>Folder Options check Show hidden files and folders. Open sysoc.inf in the C:\WINDOWS\inf Then press Ctrl+H to open the Replace Wizard. In Replace Wizard: Find what: ,hide, Replace with: ,, Then go to control panel Add/Remove , if there were any hidden components they should now show.
