Moderators Andavari Posted September 17, 2007 Moderators Share Posted September 17, 2007 I heard about it yesterday during the televised Belgian Grand Prix on Speed Channel. It's a very sad thing to happen, and I was completely shocked learn of it. It's also horrible that his young son, another small child that was the friend of his son, and an adult family friend also lost their lives in the helicopter accident. Colin McRae was a true racing legend, and will be missed by all racing fans and not just by those of us that truly love rally racing. There's some more brief reading about it on the official FIA World Rally Championship website. Edit: David Richards was lucky he escaped his own helicopter accident unharmed when he was going back home due to the McRae accident.
