burtman
Hello all, I was wondering if it possible to move the 'My Documents' folder (and maybe other Windows folders) to another drive? I recently bought an external hard-drive, and I just realized (even though I backup onto it) if my computer died it would be easier if it was on an external drive anyhow. Any info would be nice. Cheers for your advice. B.
fireryone
Yes moving My Docs is easy: Just create a new folder on the new harddrive to house the document files. Then right click on the "MY Document" directory (The one on the desktop or start menu should be fine), Click Properties, Click Move, Browse to the new folder on the new hard drive secect it, click ok. Done. fireryone

burtman
How come so long?? How much stuff you got in My documents folder? 'Bout 150Gb file with a not-so-fast mc, and a rather slowish ex. HD !! (believe me there is a lotta work crap that I would take great pleasure in 'losing' !)
