Antispy vs. Antispy

In a blog last week, Sunbelt alleged that Webroot sales reps have been scraping the Sunbelt Web site, collecting the names of Sunbelt customers, then calling those customers with the intent of getting them to switch.

PCTools, on the other hand, reports that competitors have been posting negative comments about their products on their community forum site.

The energy with which these vendors are spying on each other suggests that the antispyware spyware market has not only matured, but narrowed, especially in the enterprise space.

Antispyware companies spying on each other?

Doesn't that just take the biscuit. ;)

It takes the biscuit, and the gravy that goes on the biscuit. If you like gravy that is. :P

I remember similar remarks from years past about av vendors doing some dastardly things, even publicly bad mouthing rivals stating their virus detection is broken, etc., sort of like what one big well known av vendor did against another only a few years ago. It's really of no surprise that one company would invade a rivals forums, as it's seen allot even in freeware products.
