The thing is, the whole kerfuffle happened while I was using Win 10. Couldn't even boot.
Win 7 is doing fine for now. Win 10 is okay but I want a Working pooter.

I think a recent lightning bolt zapped my pooter a tad too much. Whenever I booted it would start Windows Automatic Repair. Not really too automatic since the screen asks me what keyboard set-up I have. When this happens the system turns off my keyboard and mouse. So, um, I guess I can't tell it that I have a US keyboard, can I.
So I reformatted and lo and behold I'm back to Windows 7. Can't get the SP1 for it though unless I do the .iso thing, and I know nothing about that. But there was no way I could boot up the previous Win 10 I had for a year. (Now I see they're charging $120 for Win 10. )

For those of you with Win10 on a tower that is at least 3 years old, if your PC has taken too many lightning strike shut-downs and you want it to start up again correctly, hold down F3 and restart. Otherwise you get a screen asking which country your keyboard is affiliated with, with no keyboard or mouse control. I learned this today the hard way.
They really wanna kill the PC, don't they.

Funny, being that Win 10s' 'Live' feature is basically dependent on Xbox.

Time travel would be impossible for living things (to remain alive). Don't forget the Earth is spinning at 25,000 mph, and revolving around the sun at God knows what speed, and if certain theories are correct the whole solar system is moving outward from where it used to be to wherever it's going. If you traveled back in time even 1 minute you might find yourself buried in the earth or floating in outer space.

That's what I do too. With a few tweaking apps I got it pretty much running/looking the same as my old Win 7. I'm not saying Win 10 is 'bad', but the whole commercial focus was quite a bit unneeded (for me).
