It still has the graphic in the lower right corner of the window like you should be able to resize it, but it doesn't work.

I was able to download the slim build earlier today. The portable version was also there.

Thanks for the update, hazelnut.

Oops! Who goes back to page 1, post 1? I got the update and installed it. Thanks for setting me straight.

I almost always see my updates on a Wednesday morning when I power the PCs up.

Thanks for pointing out Mike's announcement. I made a donation.

I've downloaded and installed HostsMan http://www.abelhadigital.com/hostsman/
I'm trying to figure out how to use it. It handles the other hosts files we've been discussing.

I stumbled across Steven Black's list a short time ago. My question is how do I easily download/install/update his file? I have gotten so used to using HostsXpert because it is so easy and foolproof.

If dealing with multiple HOSTS files it helps to have a tool like the no longer developed and homepageless HostsXpert that works very well in Windows XP up to Windows 10. In it you can import multiple HOSTS files, and even sort them which will remove all those comments and nuke any duplicates. Plus it's 100% portable! It's what Nergal mentioned years ago and after seeing his recommendation I started using it.
It's still archived and available at:
* https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/hostsxpert.html
* https://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Security-Related/Hoster.shtml
* http://www.snapfiles.com/get/hoster.htmlI also have been using HostsXpert to update the MVPS Hosts file, but looking at it's download tab, it appears that it only downloads from MVPs Hosts and HpHosts. You make it sound like it can also download/merge/sort hosts files from other sources as well. Am I missing something?
Can I use HostsXpert to download/replace/update Peter Lowe's hosts file?

Oh, wow. I hope Mike's situation isn't as bad as it sounds.

Interesting. My laptop was updated to Firefox 65.0 and I've not seen any problems with Norton Security Deluxe. Guess I was just lucky.

Just when I thought Win10 might be mature enough to upgrade to from Win7. Guess I'll stay where I am.

I hate problems like the one you are having. It takes so much time going step by step to figure out which update broke the system. Good luck.

I have 2 systems with Win7 x64 and IE11. Normally I use Chrome, but I tried using IE11 just to see what would happen. I was able to play videos from YouTube and the NBC news website. I didn't have to change any settings or install any updates.
If you have something specific to check, let me know and I'll look on my systems.

Seems longer than usual for a new update.

So in other words Stephen, unless you agree to keep Avast cookies you will always have to put up with the popups?

I did the update today on my 2 Win7 machines with no problem.

Has anyone else been getting the slight annoyance of Firefox unpinning itself from the taskbar when you update it from the UI and 'restart Firefox'?
It's happened to me with the last 3, (possibly 4), Firefox updates.
It's not a major issue, just the strange annoyance of having to pin it again each update.
I've updated Firefox on my 2 Win7 machines and it has stayed pinned to the taskbar on both.

I randomly picked Skype to verify it's installed version. According to Skype itself, I have the latest version installed - 8.40.0.70. CCleaner seems to think there is a newer version - 8.41.0.54.
