I can confirm. AntiVir Personal Edition ver. 9.0.0.14 running on Windows XP Pro SP3
This is the CCleaner built-in routine (not working):
[AntiVir Desktop]ID=2138LangSecRef=3024Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Avira\AntiVir DesktopDefault=TrueFileKey1=%commonappdata%\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\TEMP|*.*FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\Avira\AntiVir Desktop|*.oldFileKey3=%ProgramFiles%\Avira\AntiVir Desktop|*.tmpFileKey4=%ProgramFiles%\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\FAILSAFE|*.tmp
This is the one i added by myself in winapp2.ini (working):
[*Avira AntiVir Desktop (Events/Logs)]LangSecRef=3024Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Avira\AntiVir DesktopDefault=TrueFileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\EVENTDB|*.*FileKey2=%CommonAppData%\Avira\Antivir Desktop\LOGFILES|*.*FileKey3=%CommonAppData%\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\REPORTS|*.*FileKey4=%CommonAppData%\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\TEMP|*.*FileKey5=%CommonAppData%\Avira\Antivir Desktop\BACKUP\FAILSAFE\*.tmp
Note: Although it's included by CCleaner, i think should be better exclude the BACKUP\FAILSAFE folder,
since AFAIK it contains some backup files, needed to restore AntiVir in case of infection. Please developers investigate.
Thanks

I noticed the same. A list of "cookies" appearing in the left hand panel "cookies to delete" were indeed .sol files, belonging to Adobe Flash Player.

Found a very minor bug in the translation.
On the Options > Quick Defrag tab the caption "Use default rules" stay untranslated.
The missing reference on the Piriform Resource Translator system is the # 378.
Edit: The references from # 10157 to # 10163 are missing as well:
10157 Quick Defrag Aborted
10158 Quick Defrag Failed
10159 Quick Defrag
10160 Quick Defrag Paused
10161 Quick Defrag Resumed
10162 Quick Defrag Started
10163 Quick Defrag Finished

The right click 'Analyze Cookies' command on 'Cookies' does not work here.
It always does show '0 byte to be removed'. Using the 'Clean Cookies' option all the cookies to delete are correctly deleted.
Moreover, some persistent entries shown in Options > Cookies > 'Cookies to delete' are not cookies, but temporary folders
belonging to Adobe Flash Player. Infact they disappear after the Flash Player clean up.
Win XP SP3 fully patched
IE 8.0.6001.18702
Flash Player 10,0,22,87

Seems not saving the choosen language (in my case 1040) on restart, although it's correctly
registered in recuva.ini, and shown as selected in the General Options tab.
-
The 'Alternative download' link is still giving the dfsetup107.exe installer
-
There is a "Maxthon Browser 2" in Winapp2.ini, but not in CCleaner itself. Download Winapp2.ini here
Warning: That entry in winapp2.ini does empty just the Temp folder in the Maxthon2 install.
IMNSHO this is absolutely unuseful, since that 'Temp' folder does contain some needed .xml files,
that will be immediately re-downloaded by Maxthon at next start, if missing.
Since, as everyone knows, Maxthon shares the Internet Cache with Internet Explorer,
all the Temporary Internet Files and the Cookies are deleted by CCleaner cleaning Internet Explorer itself.

As far i can understand the new feature does overwrite (Wipe) the whole free space on the selected drive(s).
(need to be enabled in Advanced Cleaning options, Windows tab)
Do not confuse it with the secure file deletion, that does overwrite (with 1, 3, 7 or 35 passes)
the files deleted by CCleaner in the current session only.

Never seen that column on my Win XP Pro SP3 (fully patched)

Ca marche toujours paaaaas
J'ai m?me r?install?
---------
Please, could the Piriform team modify Defraggler to allow full translation, without leaving things in English ? Thanks.
Ca marche parfaitement ici.
-
Conclusion : Je suis bizarre
Essayez maintenant, SVP
@ Lidgeu

Hi.
I revised the German language DLL.
I corrected some errors, I translated some forgotten expressions.
But what you still have to do:
You should insert the Dialog boxes into the DLL.
Example: Shut down the computer after defrag still gives an English Dialog box.
Just try to add these 2 strings at the end of the .dll file.
32824 &Shutdown after defrag
32825 Enable computer shutdown after defrag
OK, it is possible to translate it inside the .exe-file but each update it will disappear. Please give me an email address to send it.
How said in other threads, the right way to translate the Piriform Products
is contact the Admins to get access to the online translation system.
-
I can switch between any different language, as expected. XP Pro SP3 as well here
-

In my case (post # 8 of this thread), there was an old folder saved in the path " _Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Google",
most likely leftover from a Chrome test i performed some months ago. Deleting it the problem have been completely solved. Sorry for bother, i should have check this thing before posting.

I searched through the forums and didn't see anything about this... Whenever I install CCleaner, I uncheck every box except for "Check Updates".
Since it seems every time I run CCleaner there is an update, I have to keep unchecking everything every time.
Is there a way for the app to save your installation preferences?
Updating CCleaner there is no need to uninstall the previous version.
Just overwrite it. In this way all your settings should be retained.
-
When scanning the registry with CCleaner I get a list Of problems ;
it is a list of "uninstall error KBxxxxxx"
looks to me it has to do with the automatic installed Windows updates tagged KBxxxxxx.
Are these "uninstall errors" references only and
Is it save to remove them? Because I do not think of uninstall all of them.
Most likely you did delete the Windows Update Uninstallers (checking the option in Windows > Advanced tab),
so their references in the Windows Registry become unuseful, and worth to be deleted as well. Don't be afraid,
as said many times this does not delete any installed Windows Update, just their uninstallers.
-
Dup-Killer is a freeware duplicate finder i tested (and translated) some time ago.
However, always be careful deleting duplicates, not all them are surely that 'unuseful', IMO.

Good evening Whiteshark,
Got the message. .
I can understand the devs must keep the control of their product - and so also ensure perfectly correct translations. I agree they can't spend their time in, for instance, evaluating which is the most valuable of the two Traditional Chinese translations proposed into this forum by enthusiastic Defraggler fans.
However, giving the number of proposals vs the limited number of languages included in the current version, I think they could be helped in increasing the success of this product by "opening" a little bit the access to the translation website . Obviously, with "selection filters" in this access
So the question is : How can we "officially" propose our -free and long term- contribution to the Piriform's website (even thru an MP )?
Hi,
as said, the only way i know is PM a Developer/Forum Owner
Some weeks ago i have also suggested to Piriform Staff to insert a new forum section. Something called "Translators Lounge", or "Piriform Localizations", or something like this, to group any translations related messages (eg. bug reports, suggestions, rants, new languages offering,
and so on), and perhaps also reserved to occasionally ask/give help in non-english languages.
I'm still waiting for an answer...
PierrePS : How is currently the weather in Italy? Here, in Belgium, it's around a foggy 5?C at noon
Raining, but not that cold...

Not a big bug, however IMO is worth to be reported
These are the index.dat files detected by the full 'Analyze' on my system.
Marked for deletion: G:\Cache Internet\File temporanei Internet\Content.IE5\index.dat Marked for deletion: G:\Cache Internet\Cookies\index.dat Marked for deletion: G:\Cache Internet\Cronologia\History.IE5\index.dat
These are the ones detected by the right click menu on 'Analyze delete Index.dat files'
Marked for deletion: G:\Cache Internet\File temporanei Internet\Content.IE5\index.dat Marked for deletion: G:\Cache Internet\Cookies\index.dat
Note: The one in the 'Cookies' folder is always skipped if one or more cookies are
moved in the 'Cookies to Keep' panel (perhaps this is by design, i'm quite unsure).

UMMMM Google didn't do to well translating Can any help me with this, I know Zaptos="Shoe Store" probably has to do with the Boot up of the computer but I'm lost after that
As far i can understand, the OP is having issues with some application/database he use to manage a shoe store (or catalog) indeed.
@ rubenandrade:

I can confirm MrRon,
both entries are shown in english here, although my italian translation is reported as 100% complete on the Piriform Translator webtool.
I cannot find them even in the String resource into the executable.
