Well, my sister bought it for me back in Nov. after Thanxsgiving. The day after. There were big sales going on that day.
2. No offence but that mp3 player is ugly, and it seems like it wouldnt be very comfortable to use the menus(if it does playlists.)

I just got a five gig rio carbon pearl. I also got some really good sony fontopia ear buds.

Also why do you keep writing battiers?(I saw it once and thought it was a typo).

25138

It was a typo  "I hate my keyboard though I'll give you that"

Come on.... . It's not that bad looking. Plus It is easy to go around. You have a choice by going through Artist and what not. Now if they did not have that I'd be pissed. Having to go through 302 songs

But mine is good no matter what anyone says. that's there saying on it and not mine B)

3. Hi there, I've got an MP3 player here from Philips "2GB* Micro jukebox HDD082/17 "

The thing is here. I've been hearing and have known a good bit of friends of mine that there MP3 players HD went dead or crash with-in two weeks or later. Has this ever happen to any of the users here? Hopefully it won't with me

But some MP3, Well... most, have built-in battiers and that can cause a problem. Charging the battier along time are charging it further then what it should be charged. Some have the function to stop when the battier is full and some without a built-in battier keep on going till you know what happens.

Just a heads up that you should really watch out for what you buy. It's not about the higher the price it is the better. It's the company you mostly trust in and mine are the well known brands like philips.

Have a nice year everyone.

4. Heh, what incompetent ISP do you have?

Seems like a really stupid one...

O.. believe me. I told them I was networked on a Netgear router and then they told me to call up Netgear and I'm like: WTH! How stupid are they? so... I hanged up and 'sighed" then went to work and everything worked out. I'm smarter then them on networking lol.

our ISP is Sprint. The service in the help department sucks. But they do go down in are area once in awhile. Not too bad for us but for some others I don't know. By god if we're paying $60 a month for DSL then we should at least get a call saying that the internet will be down the next week.

As long as I know how to fix the Internet I'm good.

5. Not related but hey! It's my Thread.

I got me a Digital Camera from HP. Here are some shots I took this morning....

6. Article about Router on Wikipedia

You buy a router.

You connect your computer to the router via a TP (Twisted Pair) network cable.

You connect your sisters computer to the router via a TP network cable.

Now if you have a cable modem, you connect the router to the cable modem, if you dont have a cable modem, you connect it to the wall or something.

You might need to configure the router too. You can call up your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and ask them what you need to be able to use the Internet connection with multiple computers, they will help you.

Our ISP told us to call the Router company. I laughed and did all the work myself. But man... Netgear router's can be such a pain at times
7. haha, Inu-ya got x-fire?

25080

Hey, I just play CSS now and then. But, my Borther has X-Fire but.. not right now you guys. I'll give you a date and time to when me and you guys can play.
8. oh cool you play counter strike source to. What is your name in the game maybe we could play some time

24971

lol, I hardly play it now but... I could let my brother know and he'll give me the name and maybe you and him will play each other. Be aware that he is.. really good at the game

Note: It'll have to be some other time though before you two can face off

9. I saw my brother playing the Demo with his 9800Pro with 256MB and it ran alright. He only has 512MB. Hes upgrading to 1GB though. Anyways, the online game play is good as always. But it's kinda like Doom 3

Too bad my system can't run Doom 3 or Quake 4. I would need more RAM and a new Card. My CPU is good. AMD Athlon 2000+ 1.667GHZ.

10. Why play halo? Especially on a computer. That game dosent stand up to UT2004 for multiplayer and I would rather play farcry or HL2 for single player.

24959

Hehehe... FarCry online is fun. I know Halo has somewhat of a performance problem but hey! If you have the card and the RAM you're good to go. UT2004 is ok I guess. I'm not really a fan but i've played it. UT games can be played on most system's anyway now in days
11. Then you have never seen Halo or Age Of Empires(two main games I play) on a Mac ;)

I have dual boot computers.

Laptop (Toshiba): XP / Fedora

Desktop (Gateway): XP/ Gentoo

No dual boot on my Macs.

24957

Ahh.. halo on a Mac. I've heard it runs alot better on there then it does on Windows based PC's. Is that true? I've seen it and it looks Darn good!
12. Ehhh... ok people for 1: Most games don't run on Mac's and 2: Windows is the way to go for gaming for now.

And heads up: I'm getting a ATI 9800Pro :) 'Replacing my ASUS ATI 9200SE"

13. As long as they dont change the program I dont give a damn what its called. I think its a fair change though. Ewido catches almost everything. ^_^

24709

"rridgely" There is no need for cursing <_<

Well, The name is a good change and thats about it really. I don't use that program but I have tried it and it is good at what it does :)

14. Hmm... I'm guessing around 2000

I had pop-ups everywhere. It was crazy. Although I got viruses by using P2P programs but I mainly got Spyware which the P2P program I was using did however contain Spyware but now I think it still does. I've learned from all that and don't Intend on going back.

Note: Back then I was just a minor PC users who didn't know jack! But now I know
