  1. A little less than a year ago the support for RealPlayer disappeared. CCleaner is no longer capable of identifying the install and there for no longer able to delete the temps. Actually there's 2 versions of the free RealPlayer. The old gray one is offered as a part of Google Pack. And the new black one is RealPlayer SP here:

What I'd like to know is this: are you working on this or did CCleaner abandon RealPlayer support for good?

  2. Well. Some of the names on the list are quite worrying. And if you have torrent software and other P2P installed and use it on the sites also listed...

File sharing is not popular on forums like this one. Anyway post #5 sort of closed that discussion. Inhere at least. What can be said, however, is that this in all likelihood isn't a CCleaner issue. Perhaps you should try elsewhere?

  3. Microsoft forces us to have a number of cookies. We all delete them but they'll be back almost instantly. If you double click the cookies entry in CCleaner after analyzing a list will be shown. And there you'll find these Microsoft cookies - such as these examples:

    username@live

    username@msn

    username@zune

Maybe it's just cookies of this kind you keep finding? If not, it could be of help if you posted their names...

  4. I have done small scale checking, yes. More than once. It will take out a lot of left over crap files from old IE versions. But not the roll-back files. Of cause. Removing the uninstall options is silly. :P Malware can make a reinstall of IE necessary. You need IE for reinstalling IE.

Having said that I have IE8 installed directly over IE5 because I reformatted recently. To uninstall previous versions properly and then reinstall IE8 is a way of achieving the same. Just deleting IE program files is a bad idea. Frankly.

I like that online scanner very much. :D I have others that I like equally well but it's not allowed to recommend anti-malware programs inhere. But since the free OneCare online is an official Microsoft offer it's acceptable, mods have said. :)
