Problem My Control Panel was Pinned into the Windows Taskbar. After I added the Winapp2.ini and used CCleaner, the Control Panel Shortcut (pinned into the Windows Taskbar) No Longer opened! What Winapp2.ini Entry is causing this?

For one more time, some point the finger at the users, who prefer the SLIM version over the other versions. I'm Not surprised at all... I'm grateful that CCleaner offers a SLIM version. I have No Problem waiting for it; no Problem at all.

No, I did something else! 1) I scanned with Index.dat Suite, 2) cleaned with CCleaner & Rebooted, and 3) re-scanned with Index.dat Suite I was amazed by the Number of Index.dat files Index.dat Suite found; files that CCleaner missed!

If I want Chrome, I can go and download Chrome alone. CCleaner is for CCleaner and Chrome is for Chrome. BTW, HERE, HERE , and HERE other users -ALSO- Referred to/ and Welcomed the SLIM ( =Clean version) of CCleaner. If you want to use a version of CCleaner bundled with something else, you are free to do so. Like many users, I don't like Additives of any kind bundled with CCleaner.
-
Since we don't know how many clients they have and their expenses,we cannot draw a valid conclusion. I am happy that CCleaner is among the Few -REALLY Freeware Apps-, as it can STILL offer a SLIM (=Clean) version. This is greatly appreciated by many users who are fed up with "Freeware" which is actually adware and occasionally even spyware.

CCleaner - Business Support (?39.95) Defraggler - Business Support (?39.95) Recuva - Business Support (?34.95) Speccy - Business Support (?34.95)

You still don't get it.-Two clicks or one click is Not the issue. -4kb or 400 kb is Not the issue. The issue is to keep CCleaner clean from 2nd party software. Now that is again available, I will use the v3 SLIM version of CCleaner (like what I did in the past). Sorry, but I like my favorite CCleaner clean from Adware.
-
Guys, it is Not wheather 400kb or 4kb. It is the fact that CCleaner must have a SLIM (=Clean) version; a version FREE from any kind of 2nd party software. This is particularly important nowadays when more and more Freeware Apps become subject to any kind of 2nd party software. I'm glad that CCleaner -as Mod hazelnut wrote- will post a Slim version soon.
-
LOL! You wrote your post just before I wrote mine! I'm glad that CCleaner will have a Slim version. I've been looking forward to seeing it...
-
That's the bottom line.Piriform is subject to Google policy now. No more SLIM version.
-
It isn't about having Chrome installed or Not. It is about keeping a CCleaner version Clean. This is what the SLIM version used to BE. CCleaner WAS among the -Few Free Apps- that Offered a Clean Version; a Slim version. Unfortunately, this will be No longer the case...
-
Yes, that's what happens. However, a SLIM (= Clean) version would be nice to Remain!
-
a) It is Not BETA.. It is a Stable version 3.00.1303 There is No Slim version (=clean version) anymore! Users are forced to use either the Installer version (Bundled with Chrome Installer) or the Portable version.
-
Next month, ah? BTW, No more Slim version?

The Eraser 5.5 Rules: [Eraser (Log)*] LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKCU\Software\Heidi Computers Ltd\Eraser\5.5 Default=False FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\Eraser|schedlog.txt FileKey2=%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Eraser|schedlog.txt are No Longer Valid for the Eraser 6! Then, you can make the above Correction (3002=>3025) so that the respective Icon Cache entrylooks like: [icon Cache] LangSecRef=3025 Default=true FileKey1=%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data|IconCache.db FileKey2=%LocalAppData%|IconCache.db Thank you for your hard work!
-
[icon Cache] LangSecRef=3002 Default=true FileKey1=%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data|IconCache.db FileKey2=%LocalAppData%|IconCache.db *** Correction *** [icon Cache] LangSecRef=3025 Default=true FileKey1=%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data|IconCache.db FileKey2=%LocalAppData%|IconCache.db So that it will be added under the Tab Applications>Windows and Not under the Tab Applications>Windows Explorer (since it can Not go under the Tab Windows>Windows Explorer - where it normally belongs).
