they updated the program version to 4.7.986 so you'll need to check for the program update again.
That is just a small update.

-fixed the Outlook/Exchange provider on Windows 9x/ME
-solved incompatibility of memory scan with certain 3rd party applications
-fixed the boot-time scan under Windows NT 4.0

Thunderbird 2.0 is now officially out: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/

Not at official site yet... http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/

I don't got that Issues problem.

I have created shortcut and put it to quicklaunch bar. Task Manager file is in system32 folder and filename is taskmgr.exe.
-
So there's no matter what url you type, always no connection?
You said that you don't use proxy, but try to use some proxy. Also disable "Server name completion".

So when this problem with Opera started? Does it started when you installed new version of Opera?
Disable Avast and Windows firewall to see if that helps.
-
Haven't use AVG, but Avast is very good. There just came new program update (Version 4.7.981), where is, i.e. this fix that i like:
auto-updates now use much less CPU resources (should not interfere with other CPU-intensive programs running on the computer, e.g. games)

Have you tried the new speed dial feature hazlenut? Its about the same thing but all you have to do is open a new tab and it will give you the option of 9 different sites you can open. I think its an awesome feature.
It's not that awesome, if you use personal bar. Personal bar is way faster to use. But if you turn off personal bar, then Speed dial is quite handy.

Here's mine current desktop (Win XP): http://www.hidebehind.com

Wallpaper is quite messy in picture.

Try add pages to personal bar this way: Go to Bookmarks - Manage Bookmarks. Right click wanted bookmark and choose 'Properties'. Finally put checkmark to "Show on personal Bar" and hit OK.

Works with Opera.

Award BIOS: 1 long beep 3 short beeps means, that there's a problem with keyboard.
Ami BIOS: 1 long beep 3 short beeps means, that there's is error when receiving diagram map (video Rome o. video DAC o. no monitor found). 3 short beeps mean's, that there's error at the beginning of the 64KB memory.
Note: I translated error messages from Finnish text, so they are only rough translations.

There's similar program than NTREGOPT, called Free Registry Defrag.
With Free Registry Defrag you can also Analyze registry before optimizing. It's great feature, because you don't have to optimize, if there's no need for that.

Here's new version Release Notes: http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation...html#fixes_9045

SpywareBlaster makes entries to Windows system registry and works that way.
-
There's no any security updates. I think i stick with 6.0.
-
Thanks! That worked fine.

Desktop right click - New. Where are those items stored? I wanna remove some.
-
Any cleaning program that wants to remove them should receive a bug report to the developer, and/or should be uninstalled because it isn't safe to use.
ZSoft Uninstaller's (mentioned in another thread) Temp file finder list also those NTUSER.DAT.tmp & UsrClass.dat.tmp files. It is not an actual cleaning program though.. Basicly same as typing *.tmp to Windows Search. Many people still can delete them as junk files..
-
Why those are .tmp files, if they are so important?
-
Are these .tmp files safe to delete: NTUSER.DAT.tmp & UsrClass.dat.tmp?

I use avast! 4 Home Edition.

About a week ago i sended email to support to [removed by moderation] ask, if there's any changelogs/revision history available for FRD, but haven't got any answer yet... It just would be nice to know beforehand, that do i need to upgrade. I.e., if new version just contains Vista fix(es), then there's no need for me to upgrade.
