  1. CC v3.26:

    Click on "Tools", "Startup".

In the tabs "Task Scheduler" and "Context Menu" the words in the column "Keys" don't get translated when I change the language from e.g. english to dutch or french. Even restarting CC don't get that text/those strings translated. And this - of course - shows up as well, when the user tells CC to export that info to a text file.

  2. I have a VERY good reason to believe why the year 2013 could be a complete (financial) disaster. No, I am NOT predicting the end of the world (yet).

How many times did people predict the end of the world ? It's getting so boring to hear all this "end of the world" stuff time and time again.

  3. Some bugs in Speccy v1.19 have been solved. The text behind "Hyperthreading" (under CPU) does get translated in this Speccy version. The words "Not supported" no longer show up. Instead they get translated in the language of one's choosing. But when I change the language (from e.g. polish to dutch) then still I still need to restart the program to get these words translated.

  4. The climate is - most definitely - changing. And no, human(s) (behaviour) have/has only a minor impact on climate change. Currently the Atlantic is getting warmer. And that's the reason why (super-)storms will travel (more often) to higher latitudes.

This is the kind of laptop I certainly like. This would be a good excuse to switch to Win 8. If this laptop has the usual interfaces (HDMI, USB, etc.) then that would be an extra reason to switch to Win 8. This kind of lap-/desk-tops is the thing Microsoft would like to see in every home. If Google would come out with an Android OS for this kind lap-/desk-tops then MS could be "toast" very very soon. That's - IMO - what MS fears most.

  6. The days that Microsoft "ruled the computerworld" are over. Nowadays there's more competition. So, Microsoft certainly has to tread carefully. Desktops and laptops won't be obsolete tomorrow. They will coëxist alongside with tablets. E.g. typing on a tablet is simply a horrible experience. Just give me a good old fashioned keyboard. And I don't think I will switch away from my current Word version. Newer is not always better.

There're a number of things I would like to see improved on a tablet before I even would consider switching to a tablet. And all that weird "cloud" stuff. Too dangerous, IMO. No thanks. So, I'll continue to be a Microsoft customer.

  7. Try a program called "Windows Repair" (WR) (www.tweaking.com) and run it with - at least - the box ""Repair WMI" ticked. WMI is used to pull up a lot of information of one's computer. WR can fix a lot of (NOT all) windows problems. Perhaps it will fix your problem as well. Let us know, if it helps. I am very curious if it helps.

Deskscan 1.38 (version 2 sucks) is neat little program to make a snapshot.
