Heh, I don't like Star Wars nor Star Trek, its just too crappy.

Yeah, the disks should be melted.

Plants go through chemical changes via the photosynthesis.

Yeah, but in the release of SP3 I suspect a few Interface changes
I highly doubt that there will be any interface changes in SP3.
Service Packs is most geared towards patches, even though sometimes it has some updated versions of software containing new features. The only thing you can expect for sure in SP3 is a tons of patches.
Might contain IE7, WMP11 though.
-
Wont there ever be any SP3?
Aff.

Yes, the sandbox approach to security is a good one.

Ad-Aware as CCleaner can remove some MRU (Most Recently Used) lists.
But Ad-Aware is for detection of adware and spyware and stuff.
CCleaner is a system cleaner tool, its totally different.
You should keep both, shouldn't get rid of Ad-Aware.

No, it is not possible to clean registry with /AUTO option.
Settings are as far as I know, stored in the registry.

Yes, I agree with you. I am very skeptical to store documents remotely too.

where does CCLEANER store its information about COOKIES to keep?
i'd like to export this listm cause i've formatted and i'd like to restore this setting
THANKS!
As far as I know, its in the Windows registry. I think it would be better to store it in a file, so you can save it and easy restore it.

Google had a spreadsheet Ajax application before.
And then they purchased Writely.com
Now they merged them into docs.google.com
It can save formats in a couple different file formats, including OpenDocument Format!

It loads the application without any extensions which is useful if your install an extension that manage to break the application.

C'mon, is this how USA is gonna handle terrorists in the future? Like owning them in space combat games?
No, not to handle terrorists since they cannot really be targeted. But maybe in war to cripple important infrastructure.
Though, I still do find it really really silly.

Cyberwarfare just sounds too silly.
-
Someone could write a Firefox extension to do that - wouldn't that be cool
No, it wouldn't.

Due to the decentralized nature of the Internet, it is difficult to take down.
However, due to hierarchical routing, some points are more critical to the Internet infrastructure than others.
I think this "cyberwarfare" is a silly Hollywood buzzword.
Interesting that they say this. Check this article out. http://www.internetnews.com/dev-news/article.php/1486981
That's no script kiddies. That is some talented blackhats with an in-depth knowledge of networking, routing, DNS, TCP/IP. Interesting indeed.
Government Gets an F http://www.infoworld.com/article/06/09/11/37NMmain_1.html
The above article has me especially PISSED!
Yes, that really sucks. Government networks should be tightly firewalled, and employees should be required to authenticate using a security token such as a smart card. All employees should have a basic education in security, such as about passwords and not picking "lollipops" or "iloveu"
And only software which has source code accessible should be allowed. It is a shame if a governments computer systems relies on proprietary software, protocols and formats which they have no insight of its inner-workings.

That reminds me. Years ago we took drives and put a sledge hammer to them. It was fun too. The bank was to paranoid in recycling the drives.
Good. They really should be paranoid about the hard disk drives.
I am not sure a sledge hammer is the best way to ensure the data is not recoverable though.

Did I tell you guys about that time when my mom found out that I had Symantec/Norton software on my computer and she wowed to disown me?

AVG Free is a good free antivirus, many people say its good.
Other decent free antivirus are avast! and Avira (previously AntiVir).
Good ones that are not free, apparently is Kaspersky, it get good ratings, supposedly NOD32 is good too.
Sucks antivirus is Norton and Panda.
The one I use is ClamWin but it has its limitations and quirks, and it not suitable for everybody I guess.

CCleaner is developed by only one guy or perhaps some other guys too.
LiveOne Care is developed by Microsoft, a very large company who knows Windows in and out.
There are many system cleaners, and all of them are different, and detect different stuff, and always one misses something that some other don't miss.

I tried Shareaza too, but didn't like that it had skins.
It seemed a little bloated.
Help - Scandisk runs everytime after CCleaner use

Sorry, due to closed source nature of the CCleaner application, it is not possible for me to inspect its source code and inner-workings, therefor its not possible for me to say what could have possibly caused this problematic behavior.
