  1. Hi,

Delete the language folder and your done.

As others have done, I've added the folder in options > include.

    C:\Program Files\CCleaner\Lang\

Under options I chose "Include files, subfolders and the folder itself."

That way when I install a new version, I don't even need to think about it. B)

  2. Hi jgermann, and welcome to the forum.

They could also be flash cookies.

Try clearing the box for Adobe flash player.

Cleaner -> Applications -> Multimedia -> Adobe Flash Player.

If you're using Firefox, it may be under Firefox as a plugin.

Also, you could manage what cookies are deleted by moving them from delete to keep.

    Options -> Cookies.

  3. hello i have the same problem,on the left site of ce cookie site there are a lot of cookie's standing there and yes i have looked en they are flash cookie's now i wont to have a clear list, how can i delete them fron this list??thank you.

Did you follow the suggestion I made in my first post?

Do you have the box checked for flash player?

Cleaner -> Applications -> Multimedia -> Adobe Flash Player.

If you're using Firefox, it may be under Firefox as a plugin.

If your having a problem deleting flash cookies, please list your browser and operating system.

  4. When a computer visits a website for the first time, it stores the website's DNS information in cache. The next time the computer visits a website, it looks in the cache to see if the website's information is present to use. This can cause problems if the website's DNS information has changed since the computer's last visit. Flushing the cache removes all the information stored in cache, forcing the computer to find the new DNS information for the website.

You can safely clear the DNS Cache if you're having trouble accessing a website due to a DNS error which may or may not fix the problem.

The DNS Cache does list websites visited by name, so clearing it can also help protect privacy.

  5. Hi pjc16wg, and welcome to the forum.

The cookies that are still in the Cookies to Delete column may be flash cookies.

Do you have the box checked for flash player?

Cleaner -> Applications -> Multimedia -> Adobe Flash Player.

If you're using Firefox, it may be under Firefox as a plugin.

You can left click on each cookie in the column, then look at the bottom of the column to see the browser and or if it's a flash cookie.

  6. Well then, can we suggest you add this feature for XP too?

    Hi Figaro,

Sure you can, just as others have.

I'd like to see it myself because I have both XP and Vista.

All we can do from here is to wait and see if it shows up in a new version of CCleaner.

If it was easily done, I'm sure we would have seen it in XP at the same time as Vista.

  7. I seriously don't like it myself when programs install with a version number included in the folder, sort of strange.

I think this is done so if someone installs a new version on top of the old version, custom scripts created by the user won't be lost.

You would think there would be some other way of doing that since you end up with two folders in program files.
