Yes. Right-click on the drive and select Defrag. This will defrag files and free space.
-
You should not delete stuff from C:\Users\<profile>\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows.
It contains various stuff like SendTo items, Start Menu items, your current theme, etc.
-
"/S" is for silent installation.

While I too noticed Diskeeper to be fast, it doesnt seem to do a thorough job compared to other defraggers like PerfectDisk.
Also Diskeeper may not be aggressive when consolidating free space.

I just use Firefox's builtin protection and Adblock Plus. Nothing fancy.

hey Andavari, surprise:
PC Tools will maintain separate operations within Symantec?s consumer business unit, with Simon Clausen, PC Tools, Chief Executive Officer, leading the team and reporting to Janice Chaffin, Symantec Group President of Consumer Products. PC Tools will continue to offer their products under the PC Tools brand and serve its customers through its existing partners and channels. PC Tools is a privately held company headquartered in Australia, with offices in USA, UK, Ireland and the Ukraine. Their customers are located across the globe and their products are available in more than 196 countries. -
Does Index.dat Suite include its own defrag or does it use something else?

This is (more or less) the default settings:
However I am using the portable version (last screenshot is slightly different for installed version).
-
Is the portable version broken? because it still saves settings to the registry.
Also does the Defraggler team have any plans on reducing the amount of empty space in the GUI? A couple other members and I posted some GUI mockups that would help solve the problem...

+1 to 1984's suggestion.

To get transparency I think you have to use either WindowBlinds or TrueTransparency.
The bad thing about TrueTransparency though is that it has its own skins, so it *may* not blend well with your current theme.

Windows Firewall is enough for me.

No antivirus FTW!

Well the two you listed are different things.
OpenDNS is a set of DNS servers you can use in place of your ISP DNS server. Supposedly theyre a bit faster and it has phishing protection. If you create an OpenDNS account, you can also customize it for content filtering.
HostsMan is a program for managing your Hosts file. It can autoupdate (from several sources), edit, remove duplicates, among other features.

Bah! Ill tweak my services and they cant convince me otherwise

You can change the Defraggler shortcut so it always open maximized:
-
CCleaner can already clean the registry, albeit less aggressive than other cleaners.

umm... why uninstall Java? i haven't had any problems in years with updating.
When you install newer version of Java, the old versions stay on your computer. For security reasons, you should uninstall the old ones.

HI
I have began working with the sandboxie program.
Question: Does the AV still work under this virtual environment? or maybe it works but no need for it there, only outside of the sandbox ?
Thanks
EP
I dont *think* it will work. iirc the sandbox prevents drivers from installing.
But why do you want avast sandboxed anyways?
