Try running Firefox safe mode. If the problem no longer occurs, its probably an extension problem.
-
Extensions store settings to prefs.js (in Firefox profile) so yes it will still work.

I dont use any third-party uninstaller. However I do think Total Uninstall is best for the job.

Adblock Plus can blocking images, frames, and objects. Flashblock is meant for blocking flash only.
They can be used together.

Is that message from Firefox?
See this page: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Script_busy_or_stopped_responding

Probably Fx3 since he talks about sqlite files.
-
places.sqlite stores both history and bookmarks, so just deleting the entire file would be a bad idea.
CCleaner would need a way to selectively delete the history.

Please make Defraggler truly portable and stop saving settings to registry.

QT Lite = QT Alternative without Media Player Classic
BTW you can install QT Lite first, then the iTunes compatibility add-on, then iTunes "lite".

Did you make sure that the "recoverable" files are viewable?

Make a backup of CCleaner.ini, then delete your current one.
Let CCleaner make a new copy and see if your problem reoccurs.

Well Defraggler is a simple defragger. You can pick and choose which files to defrag, you can have the whole drive defragged, and optionally defrag the free space.
For defragging the whole drive though, JkDefrag has more options. For example it can optimize files in various ways (sorting by name, size, last modified, etc).

Vista Update Downloader - FREE program which downloads updates directly from Microsoft. All files are very useful with vLite!

Did you try going through the Standard diagnostic - Firefox?

My Firefox 3 is usually under 100MB but I think 100MB is still reasonable.

You are correct however I just want CCleaner to offer the buttons like the Windows's Add/Remove does:

@Willy2 - Im using the same version as you and the page file does show:

The uninstallers for some programs offer a Change and/or Repair option. It would be nice if CCleaner's Uninstall section had buttons for this.

Why is CrapCleaner leaving so many junk files?
in CCleaner
Posted
@darkcyber - other cleaners may scan for filetypes which they consider junk. CCleaner doesnt work like that so theres the difference.
