  1. go to options-->configuration (or settings, mine is in spanish), it's the second checkbox.
  2. reported many times already.
  3. this happens if you uncheck the option to "show ccleaner in systray". check it and you'll at least have it running in the system tray. it is one of the many bugs in the new ccleaner...
  4. Why ON EARTH would you wanna do that until the problem is fixed (i.e. new version)?????? When you install the new version that will, hopefully, fix all the bugs, it will recreate the task...
  5. Actually, no. It is still very slow on some machines.
  6. wait, if you disable "show ccleaner in the system tray", that generates another problem: when you minimize CC, it just disappears, no taskbar, no system tray. The process keeps running as a phantom process, though.
  7. do not disable the ccupdate task, DELETE it. that works. And, BTW, IE cleaning is still very slow, even if you don't use it at all!
  8. this is completely ridiculous. We have to find out ways to disable this crap instead of the devs fixing it and/or giving us a temporary workaround til they fix it.
  9. if it is a "feature" and the devs have just a tiny bit of intelligence, they would remove it, due to popular outcry!!!!
  10. are the "geniuses" @piriform actually doing something about this????? Or they just look the other way pretending they a released a "wonderful" version???? Oh, and another problem I found is that when CC is minimized to the system tray, you CAN NOT exit from there. The option to exit just disappeared form the right click menu. Are these guys coding while drunk or something????
  11. if CC asks to close Edge, even if your not using it, go to settings and DISABLE background apps. Disable notifications and disable apps for sites. That seems to fix it. F'ing win10 running crap in the background behid the user's back
  12. I just downloaded CC 5.45 and immediately found several bugs: 1)CCleaner crashes when you run it from the recycle bin's righ-click menu. This is not a new bug, it's been going on since at least a couple of releases back. 2) CCleaner IGNORES your settings and re-enables monitoring, even if you have explicitly disabled it before. Disabling it again doesn't work, it keeps running. The only way to get rid of it is to kill the process. 3)If you uncheck the option to show CCleaner in the system tray, then when you minimize it, it completely disappears, no taskbar, no system tray, nothing.. The process keeps running as a phantom process, though. PLEASE FIX THESE!!!!
  13. This doesn't happen only with hotfix uninstallers, also with folders in the temp dir (usually, c:\documents and settings\<user name>\local settings\temp) bye!
