I use both - CCleaner daily and Cleanup once a week. You may want to wait a while and run Cleanup as you normally would, and then run CCleaner to see what it found that Cleanup missed. Then run them in reverse order the next time. You'll be surprised, I'm sure.

As of a few days ago, my friend's PC has been displaying different characters than are typed. The A key always puts an O character anywhere she types it, for example. She swapped out keyboards to confirm before she came to me with it. Never having heard of this problem before, I had her go in safe mode and try there, and there was no difference. She's doing a disk check now. I'm clueless on this one. I wasn't sure how to word this problem on a Google search, so I came here with it. Thanks.

I tried it last week. It's very fast, and when I did an analysis check with my windows defrag and O&O afterwards, they were clean. I'm not sure how else to test it.

Friend has a Win 98 machine. As of several days ago, the open windows tabs/buttons are missing from the task bar display. The quick-launch and status buttons are visible. I had her try a diskcheck but it BSOD'd when the check started. I'll have her run a spyware scanner and Dial-a-fix next time I see her, but I was hoping there would be an easy answer to the task bar issue. Thanks.
