I use it and SuperAntiSpyware. They've replaced AdAware and Spybot on my PC. I think Super is the better of the two. The HIPS feature is nice, but there are other programs to cover that.

I'm sure there's a simple answer for this....
I set up a temporary user account for testing, and now my PC starts up with the Admin account by default. How do I change the default login back to the primary account? Thanks.

I've has 2.02RC5 for several days now. Anyone know what the changes are..?

Yes, and a long one at that. Thank you, ma'am

I've never bothered with their plugins. I did hear about that questionable one already, on another site.

After the "Free Calls to the US and Canada Until Dec 31" trial ended with Skype, I took their offer of $14.95 for a full year. Still a pretty good deal, I think.

I saw this yesterday also. Really sucks - I loved that search engine.

So many smartazz comebacks, so little time.........

Sweet little program. I even heard it mentioned on the Kim Kommando show over the weekend.
That's when you know you've really made it, MrG.

- Added file drag-and-drop support to the Custom File list.
Thanks for this. The old way was a pain in the butt.

Google has the best sound quality compared Yahoo Phone and Skype (I have all three.) It's very minimalist, both functionally and in resource usage.

I also just entered "avnotify.exe" and when I clicked on it, a message appeared that said"
The operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your systems administrator".
Obviously, just entering avnotify.exe was enough. I don't know why it isn't working on your computer. Did you follow the instructions on the Microsoft site and then reboot?
Yes, I did what they said and I get that same message you got when I open it myself. Program manages to circumvent the restriction somehow. Sweet.
-
Did you just type in "avnotify.exe" or did you copy and paste the entire path to the file?
I only entered "avnotify.exe". If I manually double-click on avnotify, I see the proper error/denial message from Windows. Are you saying I should enter the path?

Is it possible to show the date a file was deleted? I found a series of files with the same name, but I only want to recover the most recent version. Thanks.

Here's the fix to stop the Pro update nag, if anyone wants it: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.ph...mp;postcount=29
Since I was in a mood for change (see my Blink thread), I swapped out CA for Antivir today and applied the above fix. When does the nag supposedly appear?
Well, the fix for Win2000 users didn't work for me. The startup denial for avnotify.exe is still in place. I guess I'll have to try something else.

I'll chalk it up as my bad luck. Others can determine how good it is for them.

Dial-a-fix does it again...thanks DJLizard.

Five BSOD's later.....
I'm up in a safe mode. I'll see what I can do. Ugh...

It's now to me, anyway. http://www.eeye.com/html/products/blink/personal/index.html
I'll post what I find out.

I put that on when I was playing around with the settings earlier today. No noticeable affect when I toggle it.

My old Dell CRT was on its last legs, so I picked up an Envision H190L at Best Buy today. It's analog only, which is fine since my video card is analog also. Its max (and recommended) resolution is 1280x1024/75hz, which is where I kept the old monitor set. I don't know if this monitor is too modern for my video card (a Radeon 7200), but I get jaggies on graphics and pixilation on text. The folder icons have a somewhat pixilated shadowing on them, as if the color resolution was set lower than 'true color' (32 bit).
Granted, this isn't really much to complain about compared to how much better this LCD is in general than the CRT, but with all setting being equal, is there a way to smooth things out? I made sure I had the latest drivers for my video card, and there was no disk included with the Envision. The manual says the Windows plug-n-play drivers should be just fine. Is this the best I can do without another hardware upgrade?
PC: Dell 1.3Ghz w/ 512 RAM and Win2K
