  1. Spybot - Search & Destroy keeps a record of what threats it has removed from your pc, you can view them by starting spybot then clicking "Info & Licence" then "Statistics". The below key will simply remove a file where the stats are stored. Simply copy the below key to the exsisting Spybot - Search & Destroy entries in the winapp.ini file which is in your CCleaner install folder.

    FileKey3=%allusersprofile%\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy|Statistics.ini

  2. No problem but when you said "I have already done everything I can with the Events" in you previous post does that mean there is already a .ini entry to clean the event log?

    Also did you delete my reply to you about why did you delete my spybot post? If so can i repost it but with the i?

  3. Can a less of a noob then me look at this and see why it is not working

    ****DO NOT USE NOT FINISHED****

    [Event Log]

    LangSecRef=3025

    Detect=HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog

    Default=False

    FileKey1=%windir%\system32\config|*.evt

  4. Try this to stop flash pop-ups I've been using it for months and it works great and as it is not a extension no load time :D

    Type About:config in the url box, Right-click anywhere in the page and choose New>Integer; type privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins

    and press Ok; type 2 and press Ok you can choose anything between 0 & 2:

    0: open allowed

    1: the opened windows are treated as popups, but they're allowed to open (we limit the number of these

    types of popups)

    2: the window is a popup, block it

  5. In some apps you can select a anti virus app to scan for files when a download is complete etc. I know I do not need to because avast monitors my pc all time, but does anyone know what .exe file I need to select to implement the scanning. Thanks in advanced.

  6. A new version of firefox is always good and welcome news, any dears if the new sanitize feature which is in the latest deer park is going to be implemented in 1.05 or are they saving it for 2.0? I've also tried that no script extension but I find it rather annoying that "script blocked" thing is always appearing.

  7. I know that!

    in fact in win98 i can see mark for deletion,

    but using winXP i can see ONLY

    Marked for deletion: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Cookies\index.dat

    no other...

    thanks

    A bit off subject but we are only trying to help you saying "I know that!" seems a bit rude maybe "Thanks for the suggestion but I am aware of that"?

  8. Not quite sure but I believe CCleaner has been developed so what it cleans is safe to remove so I would just clean them. CCleaner regulars finds those useless file extensions on my pc and I just remove with no problems. If you are hesitant in removing them just click "Yes" when Cclaner asks if you you wish to create a backup, if any problems arise tho I don't think there will be then just restore the registry files it removed by double clicking the backup file.

  9. 1: Are you sure the tick box next to Temporary internet files is ticked?

    2:If yes to 1 then try adding the folder to "Custom Folders" in "Options" and see if that works.

    3:If you have done both 1 & 2 then I have not got a clue. Maybe CCleaner is removing the files but windows is recreating them so when you browse to the folder it looks like CCleaner has not removed them.

  10. Of course it could, but so could a lot of other things. I did warn him about being extra careful. I use this all the time and nothing goes wrong. You just have to double check what extension you're putting in.

    Anyway, who would enter .exe? :huh:

    @ englishman, if you feel like something could go wrong then just use G-lock

    I've just given G-Lock a go but all the files it listed as junk were either a saved game which I obviously do not want to delete or in the a temp folder which CCleaner already empties. Any ideas of how can I get it to clean more actual(100% safe to remove)rubbish?

    Thanks for the tip nod32 I never knew you could do that, but I think I would only do what you suggested if the extension was 100% safe to remove other wise I would problem delete something I shouldn't :blink:. Also when you do what you suggested does it list the files or just remove them and if it just removes them does it put the in the recycling bin?
