  1. that doesn't make sense... cause CCleaner will empty the recycle bin if you have the option enabled... and will have to do the delete process twice...
  2. %appdata% is substituted with C:\Documents and Settings\MY USERNAME\Datos de programa and the real folder where is Adobe folder is C:\Documents and Settings\MY USERNAME\Configuraci?n local\Datos de programa so is not gonna work for sure... cause CCleaner won't find the folder to clean...
  3. Firs off all... I think you should rename the MSN Messenger string to Windows Live Messenger due to obvious reasons... second I do think you should add by default the cleaning not only to the messenger cache folder... but to the share folder by default (built in winapp.ini)... this will be amazing to the non experts users that don't know the existence of winapp2.ini and share lots of files with knowing the amount of bytes they are wasting with this extra copy of their own files...
  4. For example I have this entry in winapp2.ini and all the .log files in C:\Documents and Settings\ddelgado\Configuraci?n local\Datos de programa\Adobe\Updater5 are still there no matter you pass the CCleaner all over... The weird thing... is that the next line (the install path with RECURSE) works perfectly cause all inside that Install folder get deleted... [*Adobe Reader 8]LangSecRef=3021Detect=HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\8.0\AVGeneralDefault=TrueFileKey1=%userprofile%\Configuraci?n local\Datos de programa\Adobe\Updater5|*.logFileKey2=%userprofile%\Configuraci?n local\Datos de programa\Adobe\Updater5\Install|*.*|RECURSE Note: I think there are still some unfixed issues with non english paths...
  5. You need to replace [*Messenger Plus! (Logs)]LangSecRef=3022Detect=HKCU\Software\PatchouDefault=TrueFileKey1=%userprofile%\My Documents\My Chat Logs|*.* with [*Messenger Plus! Live (Logs)]LangSecRef=3022Detect=HKCU\Software\PatchouDefault=TrueFileKey1=%userprofile%\My Documents\My Chat Logs|*.*|RECURSE cause if you select to save that logs in separated folder for each WLM user... you won't clean nothing... Note: if you install MP!L in a non english PC... "My Documents" string must be replaced with its similar in that language... example "Mis Documentos" in spanish... Note 2: if you install MP!L in other language that english... "My Chat Logs" string must be replaced with its similar in that language... example "Mis historiales de conversaci?n" in spanish...
  6. If you make new environment variables in the CC beginner's guide way... and try using this new EV inside winapp2.ini the folders don't get reached.. and the cleaner can make its work inside them... for example I made these EV cause didn't exist in my PC: %CommonAppData% --> %allusersprofile%\Datos de programa\ %LocalAppData% -->%userprofile%\Configuraci?n local\Datos de programa %MYDOCS% --> %userprofile%\Mis Documentos %MYMUSIC% --> %MYDOCS%\Mi m?sica and nothing that include those EV get cleaned... but if you use this EV in the explorer the folders are opened perfectly... I am using: Windows XP SP2 and CCleaner 2.05.555 I attached a .reg file that install all this EV automatically in your registry... Environment.zip Environment.zip
  7. I must suggest a tool tip change while its cleaning... cause is the same when CCleaner is minimized and while is cleaning and I see this as an incorrect point of view... for all the rest... thanks you guys for the great job...
  8. incredible... thanks a lot...
  9. Please check this out... I hope you can do something about it... :$ UPDATE: watch this for tests... ADVICE: maybe you should open a subforum to talk about forums issues and give forums suggestions...

    Defraggler news

Cool news I can't wait to see how it works now...
  12. when we'll be able to download it???
  13. yes that is an unofficial way of do it... what I'm suggestion is develop a official fix to it...
  14. Yes mate... but I meant that adding paths with those special chars aren't working neither the INCLUDE feature nor the winapp2.ini add-on...
  15. I can offer myself to be part of that team... And how about the special chars bug???
  16. is question about stetic and professionalism... two things are important for me... maybe for you don't... but what I see is a problem/bug is how you include folders to clean that has chars with accents, tildes, etc... look for example in winapp2.ini file there is a section that points to clean Messenger Plus! Live Logs... but this is pointing to a folder that is in english... how about I have the MP!L installed in spanish??? my forlder isn't the same... and guess what... my path is: %userprofile%\Mis documentos\Mis historiales de conversaci?n... and doesn't work when I edited it (actually if you include the folder by software doesn't work neither)... I think is because the ? char... correct me if I am wrong... [*Messenger Plus! Live (Logs)]LangSecRef=3022Detect=HKCU\Software\PatchouDefault=TrueFileKey1=%userprofile%\Mis documentos\Mis historiales de conversaci?n|*.*
  17. Actually no... 5 years developing and desiging websites gave me some experience ... I just didn't get what he said first time... I'm a non native english speaker and sometimes is difficult for me to understand the real sense of the words... thanks to all here for your help I already knew all that info before... my suggestion is actually to avoid this "addon"... I think would be very useful and good looking to see the updates coming in the installation and no replacing/editing a file... My idea is that someone takes care of the update of this file before the next release get out... or to retrieve the update of this file throught an update manager inserted into the CCleaner program... this would see your CCleaner always showing latest info about your installed programs...
  18. sorry but I didn't understand u... what u mean??? open the .ini file???
  19. I hope this will be implemented in next releases... but I need to get the attention of all CCleaner developers...
