The INI file OS detection is defined as follows:
DetectOS = MIN|MAX|PLATFORM
MIN and MAX values:

PLATFORM

This new Recuva build extends the Deep Scan feature to add support for video and compressed files. It also now has the ability to reconstruct temporary files from MS Office, which can get your document back if Word crashes!

This new v1.13 build of Recuva adds a new Deep Scan feature. It'll scan the entire hard drive for file headers and then try and reconstruct the file without using the MFT. The advantage is that it will find files on reformatted and repartitioned drives. The down side is that it can take a long time to scan. So we only recommend it if the first normal scan doesn't return the files you need.

We've started by removing the adverts from the Forum and CCleaner homepage.

At Piriform we rely on site advertising (as well as donations) to pay the bills, however, we've had an increasing number of users getting confused by the adverts and thinking they're purchasing one of our products.
In order to prevent this we're going to be moving and removing some of the advertising over the next few months. So we can establish a method that works optimally for both revenue and users. Whilst this may inevitably reduce our earnings, we hope it will keep our users happy and avoid confusion in the future.

We've had our original Piriform logo for over 2 years now. It was originally a quick placeholder design that was going to be replaced, but it ended up staying for much longer than anticipated. So we've decided that 2008 is the time to upgrade it with a professional redesign!

This is the first release candidate of Defraggler. We've updated the interface to focus on both full drive and individual file defragmentation. We'll be tweaking this version ready for a final release in the coming weeks.
