Jacky Mgt
I use CCleaner for a long time without problems (Windows 7 32 bits). Recent weeks and despite the passage to the latest version (3 22 1800) I can not clean the registry: I have a error window and everything stops after a few moment. Moderators hazelnut Posted August 30, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 30, 2012 Have you tried unticking all the options and re-ticking them one by one to see which tickbox option is causing it? bobono
I'm having the same problem with an identical error message. This problem started with version 3.22.1767 and the last working version was 3.22.1750. Selecting "Unused File Extensions" is the culprit on my machine. Moderators Nergal Posted August 31, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 31, 2012 the culprit here is cleaning everything without looking. Please read my below advice ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators DennisD Posted August 31, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 31, 2012 Hi bobono, and welcome to the forum. Thanks for posting that, I'm sure it will be appreciated by other members, and may also be of assistance to the devs. I've never hit a problem myself with "Unused File Extensions", but since it was introduced some time ago, quite a few folk have. Thanks again.
