Pfipps
When I installed the trial version my computer crashed to the point where I had to hit the power button. I am running NOD32 in the background and I think that was the problem. However, I thought since it was an anti-spyware program, it wouldn't interfere. For example, after hitting the power button, the AVG icon appear in my taskbar, but NOD32 wouldn't start. Do I have to uncheck the resident when I install? I just don't want to try the install again untill I get some feedback.
slowday444
AVG Anti-Spyware and NOD32 are perfectly compatible, I have both open and monitoring all the time. Are you sure you didn't install anti-virus? You can only use one anti-virus.

Pfipps
Now I have another problem AVG anti-spyware is unsupported in the 64 bit version of Vista. Is there a way I can make it work?
Moderators rridgely Posted April 2, 2007 Moderators Share Posted April 2, 2007 Probably not. Application compatibility is why most places still say its better to use 32bit vista.

I remember a post that had a microsoft link that would allow users to download a 64 bit version if the user had a 32-bit Vista, can the opposite also happen? I don't know, but you could probably call MS and ask.
