Hari
Recently installed IE7 but using the Cleaner setting that worked OK with IE6 the Cleaner has wiped out my key cookies (or the temp internet files?) It seems to me that IE7 also has changed the Privacy system in Internet Options and included some cookies in the Restricted sites. I have the latest CC version but don't think the last version made critical changes. In the meantime, I daren't use the Cleaner. I'm still checing to see if the Issues section is OK. Anyone else having problems?
Moderators hazelnut Posted October 29, 2006 Moderators Share Posted October 29, 2006 Hello Hari and welcome to the forum. A workaround for now to this problem is not to have ccleaner run at startup and untick"delete index.dat" in ccleaner windows options. Hari
Thanks, Hazelnut. I went through the top three sections of the Cleaner item by item and deleting the Index.dat files does seem to have caused the problem. The cookies of concern were those sites to which one may set up data such as portfolios as they can be a pain to replace. I have assumed the problem was the new IE7 and I am still investigating the changes to the Security & Privacy Zones made by MS. Thanks again.
