pc22
Ever since Chrome browser versions 114 and later, CCleaner no longer can recognize, save or clear cookies in Google Chrome browser. It does the same exact thing on all my computers running Windows 10 Pro. CCleaner tech support finally contacted me after months of waiting, and they wanted me to save various log files. Problem is, I had to reinstall Google Chrome browser 113 in order for CCleaner to work again. This is only a temp fix, as eventually I must upgrade my Google Chrome browser or face various security risks. Yes, it appears that Google Chrome Browser, version 114 and later now stores it's cookie & temp files in a new file location, thus CCleaner can not find the files... When will CCleaner fix this???? Obviously they weren't able to recreate this and need those logs. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. pc22
I am unable to supply logs as I went back to Chrome 113 until a competing product that works can be found. Upgrading to Chrome 114+ would allow unwanted cookies to be stored on my drive since CCleaner does not function with Chrome Browser 114+. All of my tech colleagues had the same exact issue in Windows 10, so it is apparently more widespread. They are also demoing competing products. CCleaner's loss...
