tuckerhank
Hey everyone. I have a real quick question I hope someone can help me with. When I go to internet properties and clear my history, all of the sites clear except for one. I start to type www.goog..... and the site comes up. I don't get it! For your information, I was redirected to this site when I did a search on google and clicked on a link i thought was legitimate. So does anyone know how to get rid of this site. I would really appreciate it. Thanks Jon
Eldmannen
That should clear all history. In Mozilla Firefox, you can clean everything by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Del. http://www.getfirefox.com/
Moderators hazelnut Posted September 6, 2006 Moderators Share Posted September 6, 2006 Tuckerhank, Am I right in thinking that the site you cannot get rid of is an offensive one? TonyKlein
If I understand you right, this is about the address bar history which is stored in the Registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs), and which will NOT be cleared by clearing Internet History. CCleaner will do it for you provided you have 'Recently Typed urls' checked. If you dislike the IE autocomplete feature itself, that can be disabled by clearing the 'use inline autocomplete' check box in Internet Options > Advanced Tony CLSID List - A Collection of Autostart Locations
