cccgarten
When a health check on "make it better" I get a popup from anydesk asking me to update it. I do not have an anydesk account. This is the first time this has happened when I do a clean up. Please advise. Thanks,
Moderators nukecad Posted September 26, 2023 Moderators Share Posted September 26, 2023 Health Check is detecting Anydesk on your computer. A new version of Anydesk was released on 22 September, (v8.0.3), and so Health Check Pro is trying to update it for you. Quote This is the first time this has happened when I do a clean up. There could be a couple of reasons for that: Have you only recently purchased CCleaner Pro? (CCleaner Free doesn't/can't check for software updates like that). Have you recently had a computer technician, or anyone else, access your computer remotely? Anydesk is remote access software, it may have been put on your computer by a technician working to help you with a computer problem, or by your IT department if this machine is used for work or school/college/uni. Check in Windows Settings > Apps to see if Anydesk is in fact showing as installed on your computer. It is also possible that after using Anydesk it has not been uninstalled correctly. If that is the case then see here for how to remove it completely: https://www.revouninstaller.com/preview-log/?pid=7522&pname=AnyDesk *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Keep getting logged out of websites?
