If Shakespeare had had to deal with Windows . . .

Recommended Posts

PC; just moved over to Windows 10 -- which solved a number of resident problems, gratefully.

However, CCleaner now decides that -- rather than awaiting my click-the-CCleaner-taskbar-icon to command the program spring into action, it must be the only of my programs that insists on showing me a pop-up window asking if I want to permit it to "make changes to [my] computer" . . .  a completely unnecessary interruption and bother!

If this had shown up on Lady Macbeth's PC, most likely her gibbering would have been thus:

Out, damn'd pop-up! out, I say!—One; two: why, then 'tis time to do't.

So, since she appears to no longer be wandering her castle or this earth, is there any other mortal around who might be able to instruct me on how to eliminate this pop-up?  I would be appreciative . . . and, quite likely, cease my mumbling and gibbering about the matter.

Thank you.

In CCleaner go to Options>Advanced and ticK 'Skip User Account Control warning'.

That will (should) stop Windows asking for permission to make changes each time you launch CCleaner

Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Worried about why some files come back after cleaning? See this link:
